Bible Reading 2015
By now you should have some idea about your plans for reading your Bible in the coming year. The specific plan is less important than your commitment to it. Mainly, you should have some plan for reading your Bible (or portions of it) in a regular and systematic way.
Bible study is a reflection of our desires. Jesus said, “Blessed are those who hunger thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied” (Matthew 5.6). The desire for righteousness is partly satisfied by our desire for God’s righteous word: “My eyes fail with longing for Your salvation, And for Your righteous word” (Psalm 119.123).
Bible study is how we equip ourselves as servants of God. “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God as a workman who does not need to be ashamed, accurately handling the word of truth” (2 Timothy 2.15). “All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work” (2 Timothy 3.16f).
To that end, we have several Bible reading plans available for your use. For 2015, pick up one an use it.
