Deference to God

“It is not in me; God will give Pharaoh a favorable answer.” (Genesis 41:16)

A common theme in the life of Joseph is his deference to the power of God.  Joseph became known as the interpreter of dreams, but he always gave credit to God for that ability.

It can never be overstated that what good we have opportunity to do only comes because God is the giver of every good and perfect gift (see James 1:17).  Others will see the good work; it is our job to give Him the credit.

“In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.” (Matthew 5:16)

Matthew 4:4 #Biblebites
