PeaceMAKERS
“The beginning of strife is like letting out water, so abandon the quarrel before it breaks out.” (Proverbs 17:14)
A crack in a dam seems like a small thing until it widens enough to flood the town. A husband and wife don’t think their little quarrels are a big deal until their children grow up disillusioned by a loveless household or until the divorce papers are wet with ink. Little arguments pile up until they become a flood of pain, heartache, and bitterness.
God commands us to be peaceMAKERS. You don’t just like peace; you go out and make it. Be the one to stop the argument before it begins. Go the extra mile. Don’t be petty. Grow up and be mature enough to not always have it your way.
“…let him seek peace and pursue it.” (1 Peter 3:11)
